My dear Lorene,
Some years ago while we were both members of the Executive Committee of the New York City Opera Guild, you invited me to share the work, then in progress, which you had been doing on a new piano course.I read through the introduction to the course and knew that you had embarked on something that was quite a bit more than a mere learning experience or a course that taught (so well, carefully, and meticulously) how to play the piano. Certainly it was all that, but it held a much deeper meaning. What it was teaching on a more subliminal leve1 was, in truth, really about transformation.
My own energies during the time of our meeting had been frenetic and scattered. But once I embarked on learning the course and sharing with you my own insights and comments, I found my energies growing ever more focused with each passing week. I like to describe that remarkable musical exaerience as one that enabled me to “come together” — to bring my energies into a sharp, well-honed laser beam that henceforth has helped me move through the problems and tasks of daily life with a new cadence, a new rhythm, and with an acc1erated speed and sharpness.
In essence, it brought me balance and helped me achieve the strength and power of an inner peace. I bave carried these lessons with me ever since.
Thank you for sharing those first pages of the course then ripening.Thank you for allowing me to experience tbe course over those special months. And accept my gratitude for enabling me — as you have all of us — with your extraordinary gift.
In deepest admiration and appreciation,
G.Alan Klaum, President
